Donations for Babies
Olivia Marcy Background-
The reason I have chosen to do Neonatal and Obstetric care is because in the future I hope to work with babies and expecting mothers. I would like to either be a Neonatal nurse or an Obstetrician. I seek to prove that Neonatal and Obstetrical care is very important to expecting mothers and should be provided to all expecting mothers and babies in need of intensive care.
Vision- By conducting my project I hope to collect a sufficient supply of baby supplies to donate to a women’s shelter. It will help those women who are struggling to care for their babies. My contribution combined with the contribution of others will help provide some relief for women and their babies at the shelter. My final product will be a document of all the supplies donated to the women’s shelter.
Goals-
Find a shelter to donate to by October 23
Start donations by October 30
Have donations into the shelter by Christmas
Collect baby toys, food, clothing, blankets, etc

Products- I will have a document of all the supplies donated to the local women’s shelter.
Task Analysis- I will need to find a local women’s shelter to donate the supplies to by the end of this week, October 23. Once I have found the women’s shelter I would like to donate to I must open donations to Springfield and Eastern Tech School. I would like to have the donations started by the end of next week, October 30, so I can collect a sufficient amount of supplies. I would like to have all the donations in before December break, so I can give the donations as a wonderful Christmas present to the women and their babies.
Mentor Analysis- I choose Matthew Day to be my mentor. Matt is currently in college and his mother is a nurse, so he knows a lot about the field. Matt is very organized and on top of things so I knew he would help me to stay on task throughout this project. He has helped me to brainstorm ideas for my project. We came up with the idea to donate baby supplies to a women’s shelter.
Conclusion- My project is very important because with the way our economy is right now a lot of people are struggling, some more than others. More and more people are ending up in shelters because they cannot support themselves and their families. These shelters are desperate for donations, so by conducting my project I hope to provide some relief to those in need. I am motivated to do this project because it would make me feel so good to give a big donation of baby supplies to a women’s shelter. I hope others will be giving and donate supplies. My one weakness with this project is I’m a procrastinator and that is something I cannot do with my project. I need to start my project early so I have a good amount of supplies to donate to the women’s shelter.
